National University of Modern Languages Islamabad (NUML) Pakistan is Chartered by the Govt, of Pakistan. The President of Islamic Republic of Pakistan is the Chancellor and Chief of the Army Staff (COAS) is the Chairman of the Board of Governors. NUML was initially set up as a National Institute of Modern Languages (NIML) in 1970 and on 29th March, 2000, it was upgraded to an autonomous university as National University of Modern Languages (NUML). It was founded primarily as a language institute but has since then expanded to become the premier language university in the region, making significant contributions in the development of Pakistani society and the global community. NUML has always enjoyed academic relations with China, lran,Turkey, Korea and France and recently, it has achieved another mile-stone to be an International Educational Centre by opening its Campus in China. In 2013, yet another milestone for NUML; to expand its campuses IBF Joined hands with NUML to become its only Affiliated College in Lahore. With a heritage of 45 years, National University of Modern Languages aims and sustains itself as a quality-centric higher-education Institute that provides students with academic excellence and an environment which encourages innovative research that posits the discovery, dissemination, and application of knowledge. We equip graduates for their future in the world of work or furthering of education to make significant contributions in the development of Pakistani society and the global community.
